The rain fell down in small thin drops, slowly, and silently. It was night, these night drizzles made him laugh. He couldn't help but laugh. It reminded him of the times when his heart had felt like that, like it was raining inside a dark skyless vacuum.

Then the rain got bigger. Everyone was hurrying by him, and no one could see the beauty in the raindrops, or the empty pitch black sky. Yet he walked slowly, not caring if he was drenched. It was getting cold, too. And still he didn't change his steps.

Then he heard a mew. He could have sworn he didn't hear wrongly, so he perked his ears and listened again. The mews were getting louder, then he saw a girl ran out from one of the side streets. He walked towards the sound, hoping to find its source. And he saw a kitten in a vertically arranged box. It was cuddling close to something.

He squatted down, scrutinizing it, and noticed that it was a handkerchief the kitten was playing with. He couldn't help but smile; it was so cute. Cuddly soft orange fur and large curious eyes made him think of a certain someone, and he sighed. But the rain was getting bigger and bigger, and he would be heartless to leave such a cute kitten in the drenched box. The kitten huddled towards the back of the box at his withdrawn hand, indicating that it was scared.

He smiled, "There's no need to be scared."

And he reached out to stroke its fur. The feline purred, and seemed to take him as a friend now. It allowed him to carry it into his warm grasp.

He smiled happily as it curled up against his chest in his arms.

And then he realized he had to look for a shelter soon. He was already drenched, but the cat—he started running towards the shops, and waited there.

The rain didn't cease, and he sat down in a corner, regardless of whether it was dirty or not. The kitten looked up at him with those eyes, making him smile.

Those eyes looked like Hyde's.

God, he hated Hyde. He hated how everything of him seemed to be so perfect, his voice, his looks, everything. So perfect that when he stood beside Hyde he looked like nothing but a pathetic worm.

He shook his head, trying to clear it. He couldn't think that about his friend and fellow band mate. Especially when Hyde hadn't done anything to him. Yet, just a simple thought of Tetsu would make him think of Hyde. Perfect Hyde. Everyone liked him. He could see it in Tetsu's eyes, the affection for that little brat. Yet he knew that Hyde did not love Tetsu; it was a mere one-sided relationship. And he himself loved Tetsu. He was not sure who Hyde loved—he had seen Hyde's girlfriend, and it didn't seem like he loved her too much. And of course not Ken; Hyde and Ken acted just like brothers. There was nothing sacred in those eyes which he saw…

Until he saw Hyde talking to Sakura. It was that guy again; he didn't know what to think of the former drummer. Sure, he was yet another perfect one, he had more movements when he drummed. Who cares? Until he noticed the flickering in Hyde's eyes, and the pain in Tetsu's…. Then he realized the truth.

Love was indeed blind.

The kitten rubbed itself against him, and he felt its soft fur brush against his fingers. What had it been thinking when that girl left it there all alone? He wondered. He could understand the pain, of being dumped by that caring someone into the lonely streets. And it hurt more when that someone didn't want it to be so.

"Meow—"

The drummer left the seat of the café after having it paid for. That was it. He didn't know how much Sugi cared, but he was going off anyway. The guy was flirting with a girl at the next table, right in front of him… God, he couldn't stand that.

Not when he was going to tell him about his deepest secrets. The secrets which had been kept for so long, after such a long time… He couldn't stand having Sugi flirt around like he always did, he wished Sugi knew that. But it wasn't Sugi's fault; he didn't know it anyway.

Besides, he didn't have to tell Sugi. He knew Sugi didn't love him. By telling him, his relationship with him might be spoilt. The precious friendship which they had built through all the years of hardship.

"Hey, Shin-chan, where are you going?"

"I don't feel well," He replied with a small tired smile on his face. He didn't care if Sugi bought it or not—he didn't look convinced—there were deeper things which he cared about more than that. "I'll leave the bill to you."

Sugi shrugged, and raised his hand for the waiter to come over. Shinya looked away uncomfortably; he did not want to see Sugi's arms draped around the Caucasian woman. He certainly did not want to watch them as they kissed sloppily, after the waiter left with an order of more coffee.

The air outside the café was refreshing, it was the clear night air which felt damp in every sort of way. No second thought crossed his mind as he ran out towards the car park, out towards the rain. It felt good, the way the droplets splashed against his skin.

It felt too good to just go home like that. He paused, looking around. Everything seemed to bear a new fresh color in the rain, and his steps slowed to a lazy pace. Ah, the cold wind was gently caressing his face, bringing with it fresh drops of water with each move. He felt himself melt entirely under the raindrops, melt to merge with his surroundings.

Then he noticed someone sitting there in a nearby building, all alone. At first it seemed like a tramp, but a closer look revealed a familiar figure. He was sure he had seen that person somewhere before, even though it seemed quite a long time ago.

Aha, Yukihiro! That drummer of Laruku… He thought to himself, and walked towards the lit building. What is he doing there?

He walked towards Yukihiro's sleeping form, not sure if he would be called busybody if he asked about it. On closer examination, he noticed that the man was asleep.

Maybe I shouldn't disturb his sleep, He thought. Then again maybe that dude needs a ride home.

He stood there, not sure of his next move.

And a little furry thing came poking its head over Yukihiro's crossed arms, its large eyes looking up towards the sleeping form of its master, and rubbed against him gently. Shinya laughed to himself, and decided to wake Yukihiro up. After all, Yukihiro was a celebrity, and god knows what happens with the press if he stayed there all night.

"Oi, Yukihiro?" He called softly. The sleeping figure did not budge, and the kitten looked up at him, probably wondering what he was doing. He laughed again and bent down to nudge the other drummer. Yukihiro finally looked up, his eyes clouded with sleep.

"Oh…" He blinked, "Who are you?"

"Don't you remember me?" Shinya asked, squatting down so that Yukihiro could have a good look at his face.

"Oh……" Yukihiro thought for a moment, and smiled. "I know! You're Shinya!"

"You remembered me!" He grinned.

"Of course! You're the drummer of Luna Sea! You argued with me whether Yamaha or Sabian drums are better during the Kouhaku!" Both of them burst into laughter.

"Oh…. What are you doing out here?" Shinya came back to that question.

Yukihiro seemed thoughtful, as he looked down at the kitten for a while. It clung to his chest like an accustomed kid would to an older relative, and he smiled softly, scratching its ears. Then he shrugged.

Knowing that he had no right to pry into others' affair anyway, Shinya stood up, his hand stretched out in an offer to help Yukihiro up. The smaller guy took it, the his other hand propping the kitten in his grasp. Yukihiro's smile was so cute, Shinya thought. It seemed to reflect something in himself; Shinya wasn't sure what it was exactly. When he saw Yukihiro looking at him questioningly, he shook his head, trying to make his expression natural.

"So, what are you up to recently?" Yukihiro started, hoping to break the silence.

"The usual…. Music, family and friends."

"Girlfriend?"

He chuckled bitterly. "When I'm with her for so long, I only realize it's not her I need."

Silence. Suddenly, the other drummer sprinted from his side, into the sprinkling rain. This time, the droplets were so tiny, it felt as if they didn't exist. The kitten burrowed into Yukihiro's sweater, purring with a satisfied look on its tiny face. Shinya followed him, running over puddles, and splashing water around in the process.

There had been no words, just silent companionship, as both of them ran around like little kids on the streets.

***

Yukihiro's head popped out of the bathroom, the towel draped over his head, "Shin-chan, the boxer's too big!"

"Geez, you really need to eat more!" Shinya mocked him, and got up to rummage through his closet. Just as Yukihiro was about to rebut on how his own weight, he noticed a strange look flash over his face. But he had quickly recovered, and pulled out a pair of tight leather pants. "Hey, this will fit you."

"Really?" Yukihiro's dubious look made Shinya shoot him a take-it-or-leave-it look. "Okay, okay."

Shinya handed it over to him, and went out of the room. It was killing him to be alone inside there with the sound of running water; it reminded him of the time Sugi was here. He needed to get away from there, fast, before he started thinking stupid things. Yukihiro was singing in the shower, and even that reminded him of Sugi.

The kitten followed him, reminding him that he wasn't alone… He plopped down in front of the television, watching the late-night shows, and tried not to think too much.

"Bachelor television?" Yukihiro smirked, as if there was some inside joke about it. Shinya turned, and saw a towel draped over the small man's head, while he was clad in the leather pants which hung around his waist loosely. The skin was pale, so pale, and it was even more enhanced by the blackness of the leather. Nothing like Sugi's sexiness. He turned away, ignoring the flutters in his heart.

"Speak for yourself," He replied mock-indignantly.

"Aren't you going to bathe?"

"Do you want a shirt?" Shinya ignored Yukihiro as if he had been a cloud of dust, and got up slowly.

"That'll be nice," He said carefully, not sure what was up with that man. All of a sudden he acted so strangely.

Shinya disappeared into the room, while Yukihiro helped himself to the couch lazily, when a large shirt was thrown over his head. He yelped, and a weight plopped down beside him.

"…….Aren't you going to bathe?" Yukihiro fumbled with the shirt and buttoned it. "Hey, I'm swimming in this."

"If you catch a cold, Tetsu's going to come after me," Shinya's eyes remained glued to the television. "And no, I've dried anyway."

He shrugged.

They sat there staring at the television, not even sure of what was going on inside the black box. Both of them were engrossed in their own thoughts. On impulse, Yukihiro stood up and stretched. "It's time for me to go back."

"Oh," Shinya picked the kitten up, relieved yet somewhat disappointed.

"You keep the kitten."

Shinya opened his mouth to say something, but changed his mind.

Yukihiro cocked his head sideways. "Well?"

And it was driving Shinya insane; the way he reminded him of Sugizo. But, he couldn't imagine himself being alone that night… He couldn't imagine himself trying to face the sadness all alone as he had done every night before, again. "Your clothes aren't dried yet."

"….Oh. Yeah."

Different… They were different. He knew he wasn't thinking rationally enough. They sat down to watch some more television, both of them not speaking.

"You know, it's funny how real life don't always end up as wonderful couples as fiction always do," Yukihiro remarked.

"……………..You're telling me?" He realized that the grief had crept into his voice, and he hoped that it wasn't obvious. He tried to hide it by occupying his hands with stroking the kitten. But it was; because Yukihiro was looking at him with a pained expression.

"There's no harm in telling me if you want." Yuki seemed to be cautious of every word he said. After all, Shinya realized, that they weren't exactly very close friends. He had to smile; Yukihiro was such a precious little thing. He cared. And it wasn't faked just because Shinya was the drummer of Luna Sea.

"It's Sugi."

"Sugizo?"

He choked back the pain. "Yeah, Sugizo." Then, he looked up, wondering what Yuki would think. He was a stranger anyway. Just because they argued about Yamaha and Sabian drums did not mean that they knew each other already.

To his surprise, he saw the latter smile resignedly. "You know, it's the same with me."

"Really."

"Un," Yukihiro's eyelids fluttered close, patting Shinya's broad shoulder with his tiny hands. "It's really strange."

"And tragic," Shinya muttered, letting go of the kitten. It scrambled down from his lap, and scuttled away into a far corner of the room. He took Yukihiro's hand. It felt so warm; he was freezing cold. He wished that he had taken a bath. The hand was tiny against his own, so thin and frail that he was afraid that it would break.

"…….You're cold," Yukihiro remarked, his other hand rising up to feel his forehead. He gasped, "You're having a fever!"

Shinya did not let go. "Who cares? No one does…"

"But…" Yukihiro pulled his hand free from Shinya's grasp. "You'll have to get to bed."

"I'm fine, really." No wonder my tears are stinging my eyes. He blinked them away. His head felt fuzzy. And no wonder he hadn't been thinking clearly. Damn, when I'm sick I get delirious too…

"Shinya!" Yuki gave up, and hurriedly went over to the room to retrieve the blankets. Without wasting a moment, he threw the blankets over Shinya's limp form. Now he was not sure of what to do. He racked his brains, and remembered the times when he was sick. It was late in the night, and there had been no doctor, so his mother had dipped some cloth wrapped in ice in cold water and wiped his forehead with it. He could still remember how worried she had been, as he was right then about Shinya.

He quickly went over to the freezer. There were cubes of ice inside, and Yuki emptied those trays and threw them into a small pail. Then, he realized that he had to find a towel somewhere. He hurried back into the room, and rummaged through the drawers.

The moment he saw boxers, he knew he was searching in the wrong place.

But something caught his eyes. It was a pair of white briefs, lying in the midst of the black boxers. Whose can it be? He wondered. And he stared down at the leather pants which he was wearing. It obviously wasn't Shinya's. Maybe someone left them over…. God! What am I thinking of?!

He threw the drawer closed and continued on his task. There was another drawer of towels and such. He grabbed a blue one, rushed back to the kitchen for the pail, and brought it to Shinya's side. The bigger man's breathing was light and feathery, yet fast paced.

He wrung the towel dry, and draped it over Shinya's forehead. Shinya stirred; it felt so cool against his heated skin. Yukihiro wiped his face, making him feel refreshed. Then he felt the towel leave his face, and he heard some splashing again. His eyes opened slightly.

He could see Yuki's anxiety-ridden face.

***

He watched the cloth trace over Shinya's chiseled face, leaving damp trails on his skin. He saw Shinya's form shiver, and a trembling hand reached up to grasp his wrist.

"Yuki… Thank you…" His voice was weak.

"Welcome," Yukihiro replied softly, not sure of what to do with Shinya's hand clinging on to his own. Shinya seemed to sense it, but he did not let go; he only tightened his grip. There was a slight smile on his face, and suddenly, in the coolness of the night, Shinya's hand was not the only thing which warmed him up. There was something strangely drawing him to Shinya. It was the smile, perhaps. He never felt as if he truly mattered, never felt as if anything which he was doing was being appreciated, until he saw that smile.

His fingers seemed to falter, but he managed to bring the cloth away to the pail, and soaked it back in. Shinya's breath was deep; he was now sound asleep. Yukihiro wasn't sure if he felt that surreal feeling in his heart; it couldn't have been yet was.

With that rising warmth in his chest, he continued gazing down at the serene face, totally forgetting his job to take care of Shinya. And slowly, in the peaceful atmosphere, his eyelids weighed close, and sleep dawned over him.

***

"Sorry, Shin-chan! Ino and J were at my place, so I thought I'd come here!" Yuki was awakened by a loud voice in the middle of his vast sleep. And then he heard some female giggles.

"Are you sure this is okay?" It was a sickeningly sweet girl's voice.

"Of course, Shin-chan never stops me." He wasn't sure who it was, but the lanky figure stumbling into the dimly lit house with his girl was familiar. His hand, still entwined with Shinya's, felt that grasp untangling and leaving it cold. He looked up. Shinya's eyes seemed to be brimming with tears. He wasn't sure if he had seen correctly; a man never cried. Yet there was no mistaking the sadness in those eyes, or the way Shinya shook.

"Oh, hey, he's not at home. Let's party!"

The couple moved into the room without even shutting the door. He suddenly felt sick, and glanced back at the other drummer again, wanting to say something.

Before he had realized it, Shinya's soft lips were over his. For a moment, their breaths seemed to merge into one.

Then, a thought broke the tranquillity of his mind. What am I doing? He struggled free. "Shinya—"

There was no mistaking those tears now. They flowed down like a desolate river; so lonely and pained.

"Oops, Shin-chan, we're sorry if we interrupted anything!" Some annoyingly cheerful laughter was heard and the door slammed shut.

"…… Are you okay?" Yukihiro asked, but he shook his head.

"I'm fine. Let's get out of here," Shinya gripped Yuki's arm, and without letting him have a chance to response, threw the door open and hustled out of the door. Yuki saw a key hanging by the lock, and Shinya didn't even pause to take it. Perhaps Sugizo had left it there. He wasn't sure how much it was hurting Shinya, and he wasn't sure why he didn't want to acknowledge it. Maybe because he refused to do so. There was a familiar pain in his heart, the pain which he felt whenever Tetsu's eyes stared through him to light up at Hyde's presence.

Shinya loves that guy, the thought entered his mind like a ghost stealing into his consciousness. Just like I loved Tetsu. The thought drove yet another stab of pain into his heart, as Shinya dragged him into the car. He didn't even notice the marks which Shinya had left with his tight grip; it hurt much more on the inside.

Shinya shut the door and got into the driver's seat. He started his car, and drove away from his apartment. Yuki didn't ask him anything, he knew it wasn't the right time to ask. The ride didn't stop for maybe one or two hours; it couldn't have possibly been less. He waited patiently, watching Shinya's silent figure from where his sat. They reached their destination—a cliff overlooking the sea. They got out. Yuki wasn't sure where he was, it didn't seem to matter.

There were beautiful trees around, their intricate shadows imprinted against the moonlit sky. It was still dark, but from the place where they were standing, right under the trees, they could see the sea. It was glistening in a distance, from the light which the moon had shone down with. The stars were plentiful ahead.

It was such a beautiful sight.

Shinya didn't speak; and silence engulfed the two for a moment, except for the sound of the sea.

"…… You love Sugi."

Shinya took Yuki's hand again. His touch was less hot; he was still having a fever, but it seemed to have receded. He gestured towards the sea. "I've always wanted to show him this."

He nodded, letting his eyes take in the far expanse of the view.

"He… He's not worth it." Shinya's voice cracked a little. "I thought… I thought if he at least cared, at least would listen to me for a moment… I know it's my fault I didn't tell him, but, so what if I did? He won't care anyway."

Yuki squeezed his hand a little.

"I… I don't know. But thanks, Yuki. I never thought—" That someone would be there to care for me, even if it's just a little. I don't know which way, but… He bit his lips nervously. "I'm sorry for just now."

"Huh? It's okay…" Yukihiro didn't know what to say. Finally, Shinya broke free of his grip.

"Maybe we'd better go home."

Yuki watched as Shinya opened the car door. He didn't know what to say, do, or feel. Suddenly, he wished that he could tell Shinya something, to show that he was not alone. Because, there was nothing worse than facing loneliness alone. He didn't care what as long as it would help. Before he could stop himself and start thinking rationally, his hand reached out, and it held Shinya's shoulder gently.

"Yuki—" Shinya hugged him tightly.

He didn't know if he could have said anything, but he hugged back, his form feeling so small in Shinya's embrace. Maybe it was the loneliness in him, just as Shinya's was. Yuki looked up to see Shinya's face, which was contorted in pain. He closed his eyes.

Then, their lips met. Thought it felt so gentle, he was suddenly scared. HE wasn't sure why he had been, because it felt so sweet. It was something which he had never really felt before; this warm feeling surging from his chest, getting caught in his throat. The kiss grew deeper, and Shinya's hands roamed down his back.

"Shinya…" He gasped, his heart suddenly beating very fast. He knew what it meant, and it made him more scared.

Shinya's hands didn't stop; his tongue twirling to meet Yuki's. He moaned, the kiss was so sensual and sweet. He knew it could have been wrong, for a small part said, I thought you loved Tetsu.

I do, but… A guilt formed in his heart. Then, he shook it away. No… It felt so right. Shinya was not Tetsu; Yukihiro had never tried to think that he was.

You're unfaithful.

No, I…

His thoughts faded away when he felt Shinya break away from his kiss and his touches stopped. "Yuki…"

He looked up, there was a pleading note in his eyes, "Uhn…?"

"It's me, Yuki. What are you thinking of…?"

He lowered his head in shame. But the answer was clear; he felt for Shinya more right then. He knew he did; surely, for he had felt love too many times to not know what it was. But, Shinya…. He was being unfair to Shinya. He could almost imagine Shinya's feelings as he had asked that. But… Maybe…

No, maybe Shinya was falling in love with him; he did not know. His heart clenched in pain, "I haven't forgotten."

Shinya smiled, almost reassuringly, and kissed him again. No, Shinya… he's different… Shinya's lips trailed down his neck, to his collarbone. He felt so enriched by every touch; as if with every kiss, Shinya was leaving him something precious. Shinya unbuttoned his shirt further, and let it slide down his shoulders. Yuki shuddered at the sudden attack of the night air, and Shinya's tongue twirled its way around Yuki's nipples. He gasped aloud when Shinya's teeth bit gently into the sensitive skin.

Shinya licked it again, as if it was a compensation for hurting. Yuki felt the other man's lips trail down.. and down… He unbuttoned the top of his leather pants, and pulled the zip down with his teeth. He let it fall to the ground limply.

"Yuki—" A small whisper, then intense pleasure started building up. He gritted his teeth as Shinya's mouth closed in on him, his tongue flicking out to caress the tip.

"Ah—" Yuki's breath spilled out of his mouth, as the warmth enclosed him. His hands clawed blindly onto the hard surface of the car. "Shinya…"

Stars seemed to explode in millions of colors in his closed eyes, as he was finally released. His knees seemed to buckle, and he looked down. Shinya's face was kind and warm. He had totally forgotten his fear by then.

"Have you done this… With a man before?" Shinya asked. His face was so beautiful, and Yuki's heart leaped.

"No. You…?"

"I have, a few times." A pause. "You don't want to know."

"I know," Yuki replied, closing his eyes for a brief moment. "It doesn't matter to me, really."

Shinya smiled lovingly, and hugged him close again. "Yuki… Am I a stranger?"

"No," Yukihiro's hand ran through Shinya's soft hair. He leaned close, almost hearing Shinya's heartbeat, imagining that it was the inside of him which he had heard. His inner feelings. He could almost imagine Shinya smiling down on him. He didn't want to say his feelings out, for fear that he was the only one who felt that way. Even if he said it out, he didn't have anything to lose. Unlike the time when it was Tetsu. Or with Tetsu's relationship towards Hyde. "I love you."

This feeling… Shinya felt his own eyes flood with tears again. He kept them tightly shut, feeling how precious this being in his arms was. He was not alone. "I love you too."

Yuki cherished the feeling now, shyly kissing Shinya's neck. Shinya gazed at him and let go of his embrace. "Yuki… This'll hurt."

Shinya's eyes were so beautiful, so true. "I don't mind."

Shinya nodded, and turned him around gently, leaning against the fragile being. He kissed Yuki lightly, letting his fingers trace down to Yuki's hips, and his moans filled his ears like a beautiful melody. His hands traced further down, parting his legs delicately, caressing the soft skin of Yuki's thighs. His moans quickened and Shinya pushed one finger in gently.

"Shinya—" He was scared again.

"It's fine," Shinya's voice floated into his ears, his breath feathery light against his skin. He pulled it slowly out.

"It…. Feels weird…" Yuki sounded slightly bewildered.

"I know," Shinya mumbled, keeping the other hand tightly pressed against Yuki's waist. "Trust me."

"Un…." Yuki put his hand over Shinya's.

Then he pushed two in carefully. He heard Yuki gasp. It must have started to hurt. He withdrew his fingers and licked them, coating them with a layer of saliva. Three fingers slipped in, now much more easily, yet painfully stretching Yuki.

"It… Hurts…"

"It'll hurt more later," Shinya kissed Yuki's spine, feeling it arch further. "I'm really sorry."

He waited a while, before spitting onto his hand, until it was very wet. He rubbed it over his stiffness; he didn't want to hurt Yuki. Then he started to enter.

"Ah… Ah!"

"Yuki…" Shinya couldn't keep his moans back. It felt so warm, so tight. He withdrew a bit, and pushed in further.

"Shin… Ah!" Yuki's body shook heavily, both of his hands clutching Yuki's so tightly that his nails were digging in. "Ah…!"

"Yuki…" He was finally inside. It was warm, so warm and tight. And because he loved Yuki, and owned Yuki's love in return… Because of that, it felt so right.

They belonged to each other.

He came, his breath coming out raggedly. He held Yuki close for a moment, still entwined with his beloved, not wanting to let go. Silence was so serene that neither of them needed to utter a word, but he wanted to ask. "Yuki… Are you okay?"

"Un… It hurts… But, it's good," Yuki held his hand shakily, and brought it to his lips. "Shinya… I love you."

"I know…" Shinya felt Yuki's sweet kiss planted on the back of his hand, and the beautiful feeling rose up in his heart again. He would never let Yuki be unhappy, he told himself. He lay down into the car, and held his hand out invitingly. Yuki took it, and lay down on top of him. It felt so warm; both of them were in each other's arms.

"Shinya… If we sleep, the carbon monoxide will kill us," Yuki told Shinya.

"The door's open. Besides, if I die, it won't matter."

"Shin—"

"Because, you are here…."

Shinya broke out into a smile. "Well, what about our clothes?"

"We'll get them tomorrow."

"What if the rain-clouds float from the other side to here, and it rains?"

"Oh, shut up."

"What if someone finds us?" Yuki giggled mischievously.

"No one ever comes here anyway, and where the fuck did you get so many questions? Are you usually this noisy in bed?" He tried to sound fed up.

"What if—" Yuki got cut off when Shinya covered his mouth with his hand and gently nibbled his ear. Yuki laughed softly.

"Seriously though, are you hurt?" Shinya asked, his hand trailing down.

"Stop that! Unless you're not tired enough already…"

"I'm serious," Shinya stopped when he felt warm thick liquid over broken skin. He brought it up to see his fingers stained with blood. "Yuki, I'm sorry…"

"It's good to be big," Yuki joked. He crawled further up so that he was facing Shinya. "It's okay, really…"

"Yuki…" Shinya caressed Yuki's bony face, studying it. "You're a really good person."

Yuki's lips caressed his nose, his cheeks, his forehead, then his eyes. He looked down. "Naka nai de… Naka nai de… Taisetsu na hitomi yo…"

"That's your band's song, nee?"

Yuki grinned. "Un," He continued singing, his voice entrancing even though it was not as rich, or as special as Hyde's. The lyrics were so sweet, too, and it was so beautiful, like a dream with a clear blue sky.

Maybe because he had sang it straight from his heart.

***

"Shin-chan! Stop your daydreaming!" Sugi bounced cheerfully on the bed.

"Oi, stop that. I've tidied it after the mess you made last night," Shinya replied, though he was not irritated. His mood was extremely good that day.

"Well, it's not my fault that she wanted to play S&M," Sugizo's lips were curled up in a naughty smile, as he playfully displayed his wounds.

"Hey, your clothes are all torn."

"Yeah," Sugi pouted, making Shinya snicker. "Oh hey, lend me some clothes."

"Sorry, I thought you said mine would drown you," He folded his arms, smirking at his friend.

"What about the leather pants and the underwear which I left here the last time we were drunk?"

"Well…. I gave them away."

"What?! To who?"

"Secret," Shinya sighed dreamily. "Besides, you won't want them back anyway."

"Che!" Sugizo tugged at the pieces of clothes in the drawer, and came up with a shirt and a pair of baggy pants. He fastened a belt so that it stayed in place. "…Why?"

Shinya grinned indecently. "Let's say it's stained like Monika's skirt."

"Eugh!" Sugi laughed.

***

"Tet-chan, why is Yuki so happy today?" Hyde asked, nudging his close friend.

"I don't know," Tetsu replied, his eyes lighting up as he placed them on Hyde's beautiful face. He looked so attractive whenever he looked up intently at him, "Maybe he's in love?"

Hyde's gaze grew piercing as he looked unblinkingly wide eyed at Tetsu. "You too!"

"Me…?" Tetsu blushed a crimson red when Hyde burst out laughing, and poked his nose. Then he smiled sadly. "But the love is one-sided…."

"Don't worry, Tet-chan. You're a good guy, surely that person loves you too," Hyde patted him on his back, smiling encouragingly.

"You don't understand…" He looked away painfully.

"Well… Maybe," Hyde said darkly. He paused, then "But, there's someone whom I love and I think he loves me too. Even though he doesn't know my feelings."

"Really… Is it Sakura?" He returned his gaze, trying to be the good friend he was.

"Nope, even though I had to try so long to forget him… He's got someone anyway…" Hyde laughed light-heartedly. "Oh… you know that person too."
