I think you have ESP, kalove ^^ oh... ah well. But just because tetsu is the main character doesn't mean the poor traded-off ones won't return. *evil grin* I have plans... oh-hohohoho-hoho-ho-ho!!! *cough* anyway. I wanna make this a parody of IRL... *sweatsweat* but not sure if it'll succeed... *sweat* And some of the puns are horrible. *laughs*^^;(I was guilty of it, mind you.) Comments would be appreciated. And Neverwhere is a really good book. ^^ And if nothing went wrong with the pamphlet... HYDE AND TETSU IS GUNNA APPEAR ON MY AUNT'S SHOP'S BROCHURE!! MWAHAHAHHAHAHAH~!!! *insane laughter* Early when the town was still not yet ready for its usual bustle, young Gackt ran through the street eagerly, towards the Roland house (actually officially Ogawa house since Tetsu married Kamijo, but because old Roland is richer...), and knocked on the door. His mother followed him enthusiastically. "Tetsu Sir! Tetsu sir!!" Yelled the little boy. Immediately the entire house sprang to wake (tetsu from the pillow thrown by Kamijo). "Shut that idiot kid up!" Immediately, a familiar voice followed. Poor Tetsu hurriedly poked his head out of the window, to be greeted by the sight of the cheerful boy waving at him. "Tetsu Sir, the fair you said you'd bring me to!" Upon hearing this yell, Tetsu immediately ducked another pillow, which flew out of the window and flew far far away, never to be seen again. "I'll bring you, worthy boy, but please wait for me to get down to you!" With that, Gackt nodded eagerly, and Tetsu disappeared back into the room. As he changed, he calculated in his mind how much money it was going to cost to keep the pillows in stock. "Au revoir, Kamijo honey(french is used to make it sound 'prettier' even though it can be expressed in simple english.)," And Tetsu got ready to face the new day. He wondered if there was really a fair over at the hill; the financial situation was getting horrible, and he hadn't much time left before the loan shark came knocking on his house's door. Gackt was waiting for him eagerly, and like that, Ken entrasted the boy to his care. The fair which they had been to yesterday had opened, and they stopped by for a moment, under Gackt's insistence, to see Die and Kyo. However, the redhead's face was glum, even when Gackt greeted him with his wondrous smile. "what's the matter?" Gackt asked, his mood downcast. "Kyo can't seem to hear whatever I'm saying," Die sighed. "It seems he's gone deaf from last night's fiasco." "Fiasco?" "We had a party last night, my friends Toshiya and Kaoru came over." Another sigh. "I think we made too much noise, and it damaged Kyo's eardrums." The parrot only looked at them with big confused eyes, but it didn't say anything. "...Aww," Murmured Gackt. The boy didn't know what to do, so he said nothing, and Die said nothing either. After some awkward silence, Die forced a grin, gave Gackt a feather, and said he'd be fine. "Don't you want to go to the faerie fair today?" Immediately, Gackts' smile lit up again. "Yes! Sir Tetsu is bringing me over." "Well, then, I hope you'll have a good time there. Get going, fine lad." And so they left the fair, with Tetsu contemplating if he should have traded chicken pies instead of chickens. Along the path they walked, over bumps and rumps, and pretty soon, a bustle of crowd as seen beneath at the valley. Gackt's eyes immediately grew wide with awe, as there were all sorts of people. People had pointed ears. There were a fair number of elves too, and wicked looking goblins. People were arguing, people were hollering, and overall, the goods were magnificent. To the right, the stalls sold wierd, colored bottles, spices, and exotic fragrances; to the left, the stalls sold flowers which shone like moonlight, pieces of souvenirs from other planets, et cetera et cetera. Both adult and child were speechless, and they found themselves rooted to the ground as they stared. Finally, Tetsu remembered that it wasn't polite to stare, so he decided to act as an example. "It's rude to stare, worthy Gackt. Let's look around for a good barter." "Okay," The kid whispered under his breath, and followed the elder man. As they walked, there were so many different things; Dreams for sale, Fairy wishes for sale, Angels' feathers for sale... Too many things, too many voices entered their minds. Suddenly, something caught their attention. "A Piece of Heaven! Rare, I tell you! Rare!" That took Gackt's and Tetsu's attention, as the two of them approached that stall. "A piece of heaven," Murmured Gackt. He stared at the thing, and remembered that Tetsu had said that it was rude to stare, so he refrained. The Piece of Heaven was a stone covered in white, fluffy substance, and in the middle, a pool resided. It didn't seem to be water in that pool; it seemed like the stone itself was rippling. Yet when tilted, nothing changed; it obviously wasn't liquid. "The piece of heaven will reflect all sorts of things to the chosen person," Said the beautiful fairy, with a huge smile on her face. Tetsu looked up to see a beautifully dark featured person, with the most wondrous grin he'd ever seen. "What is it's worth?" Tetsu immediately breathed, and he couldn't take his eyes off the fairy. "Sir, you said it's rude to stare," Chirped the young boy, and immediately Tetsu flushed a deep shade of red. "Uhm, yes why of course. I wasn't staring," Tetsu stiffened and held himself straighter. "I was just looking at him intently." "...Uh huh," Gackt grinned. "Sir, I see you're interested in this piece of heaven over here," Said the fairy. Her eyebrows were thick, and her face was endearingly pretty. It made Tetsu blush further, but she smiled as if nothing happened. "Um, yes. What should I pay for it..." "Let's not discuss its value, for its worth is more important," The fairy had long eyelashes, Tetsu noticed, and she was really thin; so much unlike his wife at home. "Yukihiro desu, douzo yoroshiku. (Look, I can speak a phrase of Japanese and I use it any chance I have! Isn't this exotic?)" "Aye, aye," Murmured Tetsu. The fairy's eyes had stars in them, Tetsu swore. "You're staring," Gackt smirked playfully. "I'm not." The fairy laughed, as she looked at the little boy cheerfully. "It's a nice little boy. What's his name?" "I'm Gackt," The boy said proudly. "Ah, Gackt, I see." The fairy nodded in apprehension, and returned to facing Tetsu. "This piece of heaven-- why don't you and your little boy look into it?" The two of them peered in under the specific instructions (Gackt trained by his mom, and Tetsu trained by his wife). Tetsu saw, inside, the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. And Gackt saw nothing. "I see, you're chosen by the Piece of Heaven, so I'll have to sell it to you," Said the fairy. "But the price is not what you can afford." "Eh?" Tetsu's expression was resembling a goldfish. "I'll trade for that boy," Yukihiro's eyes bore deep into Tetsu's. Tetsu couldn't resist, as he thought of both the fairy and the girl reflected in the rock. "...I'll give it to you," said Tetsu. "Me?!" Gackt exclaimed, his eyes wide. "Sir..What are you doing?!" "But remember, since the boy is not yours, you will have a price to pay as well," the fairy laughed, as she took hold of the struggling boy. Tetsu didn't even seem to notice, as the second fairy with straw-like hair appeared and took the boy to the tent. "I'll pay it." Yukihiro smiled, and held the stone out to him. "Then you may keep it... Say, when will we see each other again?" "...See each other?" "Ah.. We'll meet at the clearing, yonder, when the moon is up in the east." Yukihiro smiled, and Tetsu found himself reluctant to go. Still, he went, holding that piece of heaven. The tent was wierd. Gackt blinked once, twice, but he couldn't convince himself that he was dreaming after all. The straw-like haired fairy smiled at him, and asked, "Ah, you're a fine young lad. You'd earn us a couple of fortune, I see." "But.. My mom will kill me if I don't go back for dinner. And she'll be hopping mad when she sees me talking to a stranger." "I'm Hisashi. There, we aren't strangers. Since you'll be here for quite a while, we might as well talk. And your mom won't remember you when your friend goes back... either." "...Awhile....?" The boy gulped. "Yes, I reckon so, till the next fair. I know who's the next customer already." /Customer? I'm going to be traded off again?/ Poor little Gackt suddenly felt like crying. -end part 2- to be continued. -matsumoto http://xz0ne.cjb.net voidmatsumoto@yahoo.co.uk
