hair disheveled,
eyebags prematured.
she's so ugly 
she's just so me!
worn, tired out
torn inside and out
she's too reserved
(nurtured since birth)
to scream the truth
that is

"help me"
"set me free"

she reminds me of my father
growing old
tired, worn out
torn inside out
helplessly yielding
to this world
to society
to gravity 
never knew what's to be free
yielded too much
to dream
to scream

that girl in the mirror
she's me, she's me
she's crying out I wanna be me
she's not ugly
she's pretty
she's not her father
never ever
she smiles
she'll cry
she'll put up a good fight
before yielding 
to society
to gravity
that's cause she's me.
just because she's me,
she is pretty.
