Shakutala~X Japan Version~

Warnings: Yaoi. (no lemon!)

Notes: ^-^ This is based on the Indian play Shakuntala... ^^;;

Once upon a time somewhere in India, there lived a prince named hide. He was a very funny man whom the people loved and adored. Besides being a good Kshatriya ptrince, he was able to compose good (not really Indian but... ^^;;) music and (once again, not Indian ^^;;;;;;; Trust me!) poetry for his hymns (^^;;;; would you consider Beauty And Stupid a hymn?). What made him an outstanding character (^^;) is that in the settings of India, he had *pink* hair. *Neon* pink hair. His skin was fair, his lips was lush, and he was very handsome. (^^;) He was like a space monkey punk, just that this is in India.

One day, while jamming a live in the forest, and *hunting* the animals with his music (......), he saw a young girl (?!) playing amonng theanimals and birds.

Gallant (?!) hide approached the beautiful blonde whose hair shimmered like gold and hung over her shoulders like a waterfall, his heart in his mouth.

"Fair lady, may I know who you are?" He asked, suddenly popping up from behind a bush.

The lady gasped and immediately bashed him in the face. hide saw stars as he fell back into the bush and suddenly the face of a tiger appeared in front of him, jaws wide.

"YaaaaaaaAAAAAAA!!!!" hide pushed his best at the tiger's jaws. "I'll talk! I'll talk!"

With a whistle, the girl called the tiger away, or at least tried to. The tiger, much to hide and everyone's surprise, licked his face till he wished he had brought soap along, and finally got off. hide decided that it was *at least* better than having his head bitten off.

He got up and immediately fell back as soon as he saw her beautiful large eyes.

The girl laughed. "Just who are you?"

hide got up, blushing furiously, and replied, "hide... Fair lady, may I know your name?"

Her eyes narrowed. "I'm *not* a lady. I am Yoshiki."

hide, for the third time, flushed deeply at his mistake, and they settled down to talk, as soon as his guards found him and he shooed them away. At the close of the day, hide realised that he was in love, and so he proposed to Yoshiki. Depite some major biological disallowances, Yoshiki agreed. However, he felt that he could not marry and leave home without informing his father, who was away in the tomb. hide insisted the wedding to take place (as he wanted to screw him) and promised to stay with Yoshiki at his house till the Hungy Ghost Festival (Waitaminit, isnt that Chinese?) came. So, hide married Yoshiki and spent many happy days of honeymoon in the forest.

One day, the chief minister (a maso) came up to the hut and ordered hide to go back and fight a war with another country on the other side of India. hide reluctantly obeyed. Yoshiki did not want to go with him as he wanted to wait for his father's ghost. So hide rummaged through his pockets, and after dumping out a barbie head, a toy car, a lizard, a wig, a book, a box with a popping clown, a live cat, a piece of half eaten cake (Gosh)... ... The list goes on, and took up half a day... ^^;; hide fished out what he was looking for-- a necklace of pearl with a ruby adorning the front. Yoshiki was delightfully surprised and hugged the poor squashed little guy.

As soon as hide recovered (which took up another half day), he took Yoshiki's hand (this is for the sake of romance lovers ^_~) and gazed into his eyes. He said, "Yoshiki, my love, (dont puke...) take this necklace. This is a sign of my love and will proved that you are my wife. I shall send my minister here to bring you to my palace when the war ends."

With that, hide left. Yoshiki thought of him night and day and waited for his father's ghost to come back in the Hungry Ghost Festival. He decided to go to the woods for some story purposes and, lost in thought, did not see a certain tree, blammed into it. As he sat down unconcious by the tree, a chivalrous (?!) young holy man, Toshi came by, and upon seeing his hair, greeted him. "hi, girl, may I know what brand of shampoo do you use? You have such nice hair. Who are you?" and proceeded to ramble two pages long of praise to Yoshiki which I am too lazy to type down, and anyway, some of you might not recover from laughing.

Yoshiki, of course, being unconcious, could not hear Toshi. Toshi got angry as he had never been ignored before. He asw the ruby which was on Yoshiki's necklace, and saw the name "hide" inscribed on the ruby. He sang a curse, "hide will forget you complete from now on!"

Yoshiki woke up, wondering who was it sounding like his loved one died early in the morning at six o'clock (actually afternoon already) and immediately Toshi was charmed by Yoshiki's eyes. Yoshiki asked him what was he doing there (with suspicion) and so they ended up talking. Finally Toshi admitted that he had put a curse on Yoshiki, as he did not know. Yoshiki begged Toshi to withdraw the curse, with large begging teary eyes.

Toshi could not bear to see Yoshiki crying, so he said, "I cannot remove the curse but I can lessen it. hide will remember his bride only when he sees the necklace again."

After a few months, the Hungry Ghost Festival came and Yoshiki's father's ghost visited him. Yoshiki told him of the marriadge and his father chased him out of the house and burnt it down. With nowhere to go, he set off to the palace.

On his way to the palace, he stopped at a few inns. In a particualar one, he slept for two whole days like a pig and someone managed to steal his necklace with ease. Yoshiki did not realise it, so he continued on his journey.

Eventually he reached the destination. He was brought to the king, who was glad to see such a pretty girl, made Yoshiki his concubine against his will. Yoshiki approached hide for help and told him how much he missed him. hide was confused, and said, "I do not have a wife, and I cannot defy my father."

Yoshiki wanted to show him the necklace, but found it to be gone. Resignedly he went back to the room the king had provided him with and cried. Suddenly, two shining people appeared in front of him. "We are your fairy godfathers. We are here to help you. I am Heath, and this is Pata. Nice to meet you."

Yoshiki was scared at first, but later told them about everything that happened and begged them to help. The godfathers symphathised with him and set out to trace the necklace while Yoshiki tried to keep the king drunk six weeks running and ran away from him. The godfathers found it a few months later and poor Yoshiki had been exhausted by the never-giving-up king. After trading it for some cows, they gave it to Yoshiki and Yoshiki showed it to hide.

When hide remembered Yoshiki, he was so angry at his father that he managed to overthrow the guy and made Heath and Pata the ministers. Together with Yoshiki, they ruled the land happily ever after, although later they faced the problems of a successor.

%^^% The End!
