I wonder if i'll be able to send it again *moan* uh... here goes The four of them filed out of the police station in a rather orderly manner (with a prod of rod from the police that is). The embassy of international relations had said, "give them a tour, but they are dangerous and must not be let alone at any time", and nothing more. They were driven to their destination, Ken extremely boredly drumming his fingers against the window, Yuki sitting patiently staring out of the window, Hyde watching the front of the car intently, and Tetsu pretending that he was driving. (toyota.. "get out of your old shoes!" starts playing as BGM ^_~) They reached a gray building after a rather long drive. Tetsu had gotten bored of driving by then, and was asleep. Hyde watched him enviously, wishing he could have the luxury of that, but he just couldn't. He was drove near-insanity by the grayness of the city. Those were nothing like the trees, the magical place which they lived in. The fog was thick, and everyones' faces could not be seen. If he were to pass a judgement.. Well, they would be better off dead. The building was huge, and tall, much like any other. Inside was many capsules, all of them filled with deathly-white faces. Hyde wrinkled his nose as he gazed at the faces, all of them as dead as anything. Dead... . He guess he hated death. This was what civilization symbolized-- death. "Don't their families visit them?" Yuki asked, looking at the horror on the faces of those who were going to be injected with poison. "No, kinship is useless in our society. They are busy trying to earn their own livings." "You know... They are really better off dead," Ken murmured. "High efficiency," the police officer ignored them. "We need efficiency for the country to be able to keep up with the times." "Efficiency.. .Is more important than living as a human?" Tetsu asked, somewhat incredulous. "Yes. WIthout efficiency there is no life. We will not be able to earn enough to support ourselves." "Let's kill them... shall we?" Yuki glanced at Tetsu again. Tetsu lowered his eyes. "I don't know. Let's finish the tour, okay?" Yuki clenched his fists and nodded, his lips set in a grim line. ~hidoko matsumoto http://xz0ne.cjb.net voidmatsumoto@yahoo.co.uk
