Masked, beautifully disguised
silently crept to dance
Snowflakes adorn a maiden's dream
Delight of the ball of love
Cuddled up in sleep.
Night calls to be dawned
Long awaited ball to begin
Awaiting souls of Christmas roam
For this season, to be free.

Yet, in the masquerade of love
Only to find masks
Well adorned masks, 
painted face men

Maiden's dream shatters again and again
The tears embrace the endless rain
Lack of strength to hold on

As falls away broken faith.

Christmas ball
