Hido told me to stay away from slashing tetchan with people other than hyde, but...Jara, you're making it irristable!! ^^x;

Hyde gazed down at the Star, who lay so peacefully on the bed, asleep, awashed in moonlight. He couldn't move his eyes away from the thick, long lashes as he recalled the beautiful eyes, how they glittered warmly, delicate and lovely. When those eyes fell upon him a while ago, Hyde felt as though his heart was being torn with a sudden, overwhelming longing and sadness he didn't and couldn't understand. No, he didn't understand at all. Why was this man, who called himself a 'Star', having such an impact on him? He didn't know him, no. This Tetsu was a total stranger to him as well, despite the fact that Tetsu had obviously saved him from whatever he'd been engaged in.

Hyde frowned at this. His memory was almost a blank piece of paper right now; try as he might, he could not recall anything that had happened to him for the past...oh, he didn't know how long. He only remembered that before he'd lost conciousness, before the world had turned into nothing but a black hole, he was running. Running in the dark streets, desparately, away from something. Something... he could not remember.

He scowled in frustration, his finely sculptured face dark in anger. He couldn't help being angry with himself. He was supposed to be strong, but now he felt more vulnerable than ever.

He didn't even know where this place was! Nor could he fully comprehend why the four siblings were letting them stay. Those four-- what were their names...?-- were not afraid of him? Hyde thought of the delicious food the wild redhead had offered him. No, they definitely did not seem afraid of him. And that puzzled Hyde more than anything else.

But that dark-haired man-- was it Sakura, his name?-- made Hyde wary for some reason. The name struck something in his heart; but what, he couldn't exactly place. He was sure he didn't know this Sakura until this day, yet the man seemed so /familiar/... It was distrubing. Then Hyde thought of the way Sakura looked at Tetsu, how he'd touched him almost in reverance; and /that/ upset Hyde, too.

Where does this...possessive come from? On what ground does it stand? -- Hyde deliberately ignored these questions that had popped up in his mind.

And his mind inevitably returned to the Star, his eyes traveling to the pink lips and lingering there. Who are you, he thought, biting on his lower lip out of habit. A 'Star'...? Impossible. He'd only read about the 'Stars' in childhood stories, the fantasy tales his parents so loved to tell him. Such things did /not/ exist...or did they? Then he let a smile tugged on his mouth, looking at the peaceful figure. How can Tetsu be so comfortable in this totally foreign place? How can he be so...trusting?

And he said he was no Angel.

Hyde sat back on his bed. Now was no time to brood on this. The memory loss was driving him mad; he needed to know what had happened. The house was silent, and Hyde glanced at the window... He could hear the sound of the sea.

He stood up and walked to the window.
