the figure was a boy he soon discovered, a boy with long slender limbs and a small waist that he wrapped one of his arms around as he pulled him to shore. the boy was still alive though, which was a good sign, and would shift in his arms to keep his head out of the water.
a very good sign.
as if it knew that something was destined to happen that day, the water remained placid, almost helping them to shore. coughing and exhausted, the taller figure placed the boy on the beach and colapsed beside him, gasping for breath. the boy was still alive, but still hadn't awakened, and his rescuer's last thoughts before he drifted into unconciousness were a prayer for the boy. .....
