Part 41
Die stared at Levin as the
small young man sat looking out the window. Worriedly, Die sat on a chair
next to him. He knew the
mountain scenery was not
what interested his lover so much. He could see by the glazed look in Levin's
eyes that he was
thinking of those whom they
had left on the beach.
"Levin?"
Levin looked up and gave Die a small smile. "I need to go back."
"You mean to the beach?"
"Yes to Yuki. He is going to need me."
Die got up angrily. "How can you say that? He tried to kill you."
Levin sighed. He turned his
head to look at Die. The tall red head was so young in years even though
he looked older. It was hard
to explain to Die the bond
that he shared with his cousin. A bond that was more than two hundred years
old in this life.
Die flopped back unto the
bed and stared up at the ceiling. He didn't want to go back because he
was afraid of what could
happen to Levin.
"Levin I know there are things going on that you haven't told me about. I'm sure you have your reasons."
Levin wanted felt like crying. He wanted to tell Die. "You might not believe me if I told you."
Die sat up and stared. "I will. I know you won't lie to me."
Levin stared at this hands. Tired, Levin walked up to the bed and curled up next to Die. "Promise me you wont think I am crazy."
"I promise."
"A long time ago, there were
two lovers who shared a forbidden love. People being what they are when
threatened with something
they don't understand, tore
them apart. One of the lovers was promised as a sacrific to the Sea....."
Die listened as Levin told
the tale. When Levin finished, darkness had descended outside. A cool breeze
blew in through the
window making Levin shiver.
Die tightened his told on him.
"Are you telling me that Hyde and Tetsu are these lovers?"
"Yes. Tetsu was born for the sole purpose of being with Hyde."
"And Yukihiro and you are cousins?"
"Yes. We are creatures of
the sea. The closer we are to the ocean the stronger her hold on us is.
That is why Yuki and I acted
the way we did."
"He tried to kill me because I almost ruined his mother's plan. Believe me, you do not want to anger her."
"Is that why you wanted Tetsu dead?"
Levin felt afraid when Die said that. He was ashamed for having done what he did.
"Yes. No. She came to me.
She has a way of controlling us. If I killed Tetsu she promised me you
wouldn't be harmed. I have
never cared for anyone the
way I do for you. I wanted to protect you so much."
Die held Levin closer. "If she is as strong as you say. You can't go back. I won't let you."
Levin sighed. He loved it
that Die cared, but this was something he had to do. Struggling out of
Die's embrace, Levin leaned over
and kissed lis love hard.
"I have to. Yukihiro is going to need me to fight her."
"What do you mean?"
"Yuki doesn't realize it,
but his feelings for Sakura are very deep. He will try to save him from
his mother's wrath. He wont be able
to do that by himself. He
will need me."
"How do you know that?"
"I know Yuki better than he does himself."
"Levin, it's dange..."
Levin kissed him again. "I know."
Die stared at his lover's sad eyes. "Very well, but you wont leave me side. Do you hear me!"
Levin giggled as he attacked
Die's mouth again. He wanted one more time with him, before they went back."
A little sliver of fear
made its way to his heart.
Please if someone is hearing me. Help us get through this. I dont want to loose Die.

Sakura watched the storm
rage around Hyde. He tightened his hold on Tetsu when the star tried to
go after his love. The tall
brunette knew what was happening
was right. He needed to do something, even though this could be the oppurtunity
he needed
to be with Tetsu.
He felt Yuki come and stand
behind him. The Sea Prince had no choice really. His mother called to him,
needing him to be
present for the long awaited
marriage of his mother, the ocean and Hyde.
Tears streamed down Tetsu's eyes as his helplessness tore at his soul.
